FLYER COLLEGE GOLGI

 

Mission

The mission of Collegio Golgi, named after the famous Nobel Prize for Medicine Camillo Golgi, is to offer a range of additional and high-calibre learning opportunities in addition to the regular Courses available at the University of Pavia as well to encourage a free exchange of ideas and experiences between students. Collegio Golgi caters equally for students of all University Courses, both undergraduate and post–graduate ones.

Teaching

Collegio Golgi currently runs tutorials in Biology, Law, Mathematical Analysis, Philosophy. The courses are set each year based on students’ needs. Tutorial are offered by graduate students, interns as well as professors of the University of Pavia who live in college.

Cultural Initiatives

Collegio Golgi regularly organizes conferences and symposia sponsored by the rectories or Students Committees in collaboration with the Departments of the University of Pavia.
The Golgi organizes, among other events, the international conferences of moral philosophy and philosophy of law "Nomologics," subsequently published in hard copy.

College Life

College life  promotes friendly relations and interactions among students. A range of sporting, recreational and cultural activities are organized by two committees of six members each, elected by students. The College is actively involved in intercollegiate sports tournaments organized by the CUS (Centro Universitario Sportivo) of Pavia.

PORTER: from 8.00 am to 24.00 am Monday to Friday - from 8.00 to 23.00 Saturday - closed Sunday and holidays, in addition to closures as academic calendar
