Who we are
EDiSU Pavia is the University of Pavia’s Entity for the Right to University Study, which manages policies of assistance and facilitation for students. The institution offers services such as scholarships, university residences (the colleges), canteens, and cultural and sports activities to ensure and promote access to the university.
Access to university for a degree, through a fruitful and regular educational path, is facilitated by a series of services promoted under the policies for the “right to study.” This matter is governed by Legislative Decree No. 68 of March 29, 2012, which assigns to the State, Regions and Universities the various competencies in the field to ensure that the “able and deserving, even if without means” can reach the highest degrees of studies as the Constitution attests.
In Pavia, right-to-study services are provided by the Ente per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario (EDiSU), an instrumental body of the University of Pavia established in implementation of Lombardy Regional Law No. 33 of Dec. 13, 2004, “Norme sugli interventi regionali per il diritto allo studio universitario” (Rules on regional interventions for the right to university study), replacing the dissolved I.S.U.
