Procedure for redetermining the geographical condition for students with outcome “suspended” a.y. 2025/26
OPERATING PROCEDURES FOR THE PURPOSE OF REDETERMINING THE GEOGRAPHICAL CONDITION FOR ALL STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE “FILTER / OPEN SEMESTER” AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PAVIA PROVED TO BE “BENEFICIARIES” OR “ELIGIBLE” FOR THE RECEIPT OF THE SCHOLARSHIP a.y. 2025/2026 WITH OUTCOME “SUSPENDED” (IN THE FINAL RANKING of December 4, 2025)
DEADLINE 11.59 PM of 15/03/2026
In addition to the provisions of the “ordinary call for application” for the awarding of scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year (call for application expired on 15 September 2025), EDiSU Pavia believes it is appropriate to provide the following further information.
Students enrolled in the “filter/open semester” at the University of Pavia for access to the study courses of Medicine and Surgery (LM-41) and Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics (LM-46) who were “BENEFICIARIES” or “ELIGIBLE” in the final ranking for the awarding of scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year are currently considered with the outcome “SUSPENDED”.
In order to remove the current suspension, the student must enroll at the University of Pavia, by March 10, 2026, for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year for a course of study in Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, or a “similar” course or other course made accessible by the University of Pavia. Otherwise, students with a suspended outcome will be excluded from the benefit.
Students enrolled in the “filter / open semester” proved to be “Beneficiary” or “Eligible” in the ranking of 04 December 2025 and enrolled at the University of Pavia by 10 March 2026, can request from EDiSU Pavia the redetermination of their “geographical condition” (understood as on-site student, commuter student and off-site student).
To be considered “off-site” student you must simultaneously meet the following requirements:
- be resident in foreign countries or in “off-site” municipalities (with respect to the university headquarter in Pavia),
- proved to be “commuter” in the final ranking,
- be in possession of paying accommodation, for study purposes, for at least 3 months at the location of the course attended (Pavia) during the 2025/2026 academic year (between September 2025 and September 2026).
To request a review of the “geographical condition”, interested students must submit suitable documentation by and no later than 15 MARCH 2026 demonstrating the availability of a paying accommodation for at least THREE (n. 3) MONTHS, relating to the academic year 2025/2026, for study purposes.
The documentation must comply with the provisions of Article 6 of the ordinary notice – paragraph “Geographical location”.
This documentation must be included as a PDF document (upload) in the “Lease Contract – for off-site students” section in the “Online Student Services” area.
After the deadline of March 15, 2026, the EDiSU offices will examine the submitted documentation and will ensure that the Beneficiary or Eligible students in the ranking list are recognized as having the definitive geographical status of “off-site” or “commuter”.
Please note that having “paying accommodation”, for students who have attended the “filter / open semester”, means having in Pavia or in a adjacent municipality (Annex C of the ordinary call for scholarship):
- a rental contract (or more than one) in the name of the student or a parent valid for AT LEAST 3 MONTHS referred to in the academic year 2025/2026 and the related registration with the Revenue Agency (referring to the time of the contractual validity),
or
- certification of the private college or boarding school (for colleges not managed by EDiSU Pavia) which shows that the student is a guest of the residential structure for a fee for AT LEAST 3 MONTHS referred to in the academic year 2025/2026.
In the absence of the submission of such documentation by March 15, 2026, students, although residing in classified municipalities “off-site” or coming from foreign states, will be confirmed “commuters”.
The updated outcome will be made visible in the area “Online Student Services” – section “Upshot Ranking”.
The amounts awarded to scholarship beneficiaries are the annual amounts provided for in Article 6 of the ordinary call for application, amended by Resolution No. 13 of the Board of Directors of January 28, 2026.
It should be noted that the amounts, indicated in Article 6 of the ordinary call, for students recognized as “off-site” refer to those who have demonstrated at least 10 months as “off-site”.
The value of the off-site grant is calculated proportionally, starting from the value of the commuter grant, taking into account the number of actual months of enjoyment (for a maximum of 10 months) of paying accommodation during the academic year, duly documented, also considering the period possibly enjoyed during the “filter / open semester”.
Students enrolled in the first year, who have been awarded beneficiaries in the final ranking, will receive the scholarship according to the procedures indicated in Article 11, letter a) of the ordinary call for applications with the following deadlines:
- First installment: starting from May 2026 and in any case only after the student has completed the obligations indicated in the paragraph “Notice for the disbursement of the cash portion of the scholarship” of Article 11 of the ordinary call for applications (IBAN indication + completion of the declaration “Statement for collection of scholarship”)
- Second instalment: it will be paid by EDiSU only after it is established that the student has obtained, within the maximum period of 10 August 2026, the number of credits indicated in Annex B to the ordinary call.
