What does it mean to be “ELIGIBLE” but NOT “beneficiary” of the scholarship?

It means that you have the income and merit requirements to get the scholarship (ELIGIBLE) BUT, since there are not enough economic resources at present to fund/pay all scholarships, you do not appear to be beneficiary of this benefit.

N.B. the condition of “ELIGIBLE” (NON-beneficiary) may be temporary: after the approval of the final ranking list and the first allocation of scholarships according to the available economic resources, EDiSU may receive additional funding and consequently proceed to “expand”, in accordance with the proportions indicated in the notice, the number of students beneficiaries to the scholarship initially defined.

Through a specific notice posted on the institution’s website in the “NEWS” section, EDiSU will inform students of any “expansion” made during the year. In the section “UPSHOT RANKING,” located in the reserved area “STUDENT’S ONLINE SERVICES,” the update of the final ranking will appear; each student will be able to view his or her “new” outcome (situation revised to the date of the final ranking update).

WHAT IS AN “ELIGIBLE” BUT NOT BENEFICIARY STUDENT ENTITLED TO?

  • if you are a student enrolled for the first time in the first year:
    – from January 1 and until December 31, 2026, you are entitled to one meal per day in the 1° bracket;
    – you have exemption from the all-inclusive university fee and are entitled to a refund of the regional fee already paid as first installment. You will be reimbursed by the University of Pavia only at the end of the a.y. 2025/2026 (April 30, 2027) when EDiSU Pavia confirms to the University that you have kept the status of “eligible” but not beneficiary of the scholarship (and therefore have not become “beneficiary” or are not subject to scholarship revocation).

N.B. if you achieve the minimum credits (CFU) indicated in Annex B of the announcement by November 30, 2026, you can confirm your eligibility for the benefit. Failure to do so will result in your scholarship eligibility being revoked and you will be required to pay tuition/fees.

  • if you are a student enrolled in years after the first:
    – you are entitled to one free meal per day during the period from January 1 to December 31, 2026;
    – you are exempt from the all-inclusive university fee and are entitled to a refund of the regional fee and any all-inclusive university fee already paid as first installment. You will be reimbursed by the University of Pavia only at the end of the a.y. 2025/2026 (April 30, 2027) when EDiSU Pavia confirms to the University that you have kept the status of “eligible” but not beneficiary of the scholarship (and therefore have not become “beneficiary” or are not subject to scholarship revocation).

N.B. A student who is “ELIGIBLE” but NOT beneficiary has the possibility of becoming a “recipient” following any expansion in the number of scholarship recipients.

If you are a student enrolled for the first time in the first year and you have become a “beneficiary” as a result of “expansions,” please note that:

  • in order to collect the full benefit (including the second installment of the scholarship) you will have to achieve the minimum CFU stipulated in the call for application (Annex B – call for ordinary scholarship) by August 10, 2026;
  • the awarding of the free meal until December 31, 2026 will start from the adoption of the benefit awarding decree (nothing will be due for the past meals).

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE A “SUSPENDED” RESULT IN THE FINAL RANKING LIST OF SCHOLARSHIPS a.y. 2025/2026?

You are in this condition if you have participated in the call for scholarships a.y. 2025/2026 and are enrolled in the “SEMESTER FILTER“.
You cannot actually enjoy the benefits and facilities recognized by EDiSU Pavia because you are NOT yet a student enrolled in a course of study at the University of Pavia.

You will be able to take advantage of the benefits / facilities provided by the application notice only when EDiSU ascertains your enrollment at the University of Pavia, according to the terms and timing to be established and of which notice will be given on this website.
