So many small drops can fill the sea. Help in memory of Gabriele.
The Youth Council would like to thank the many young people and citizens for the impressive participation in last Wednesday’s torchlight procession, as well as all the city institutions that contributed to it. At a time of grief and consternation, gathering in such large numbers and participation is a sign of hope that helps us look to the future.
Now Gabriele is back in his Favara to receive the embrace of his entire country, and life in Pavia is beginning to return to normal daily routine. But before the memory fades with the passage of time, it is important to make one more gesture of support for Gabriele’s family, which will face significant expenses. Here, as the Youth Council of Pavia, in collaboration with Caritas and theAssociation “No One Saves Himself,” we propose to all students and citizens of Pavia a fundraiser that will enable the family to cover the expenses of the funeral.
Each of us can make his own contribution, however small: we will once again concretely participate in the grief and tragedy that befell Gabriele, a young man of twenty-five who went up to the “North” to try to build a future for himself.
So many small contributions can help to achieve a small/big miracle.
