This conference will analyze not only the opportunities and successes of AI in healthcare, but also the related challenges and risks: ethical issues, algorithm bias, privacy protection, and legal implications for professionals and institutions. Through concrete cases and critical discussions, both the benefits and limitations of AI will be highlighted, offering a comprehensive view of how technology is reshaping the future of medicine.
Marco S. Nobile is Associate Professor of Computer Science at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. His research focuses on artificial intelligence applied to biomedicine and clinical decision support systems, with a focus on interpretable AI. He is the author of numerous international scientific publications in the field of AI and computational intelligence.
Anna Odone is Full Professor of Hygiene and Public Health at the University of Pavia and Director of the School of Specialization in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine. Its research focuses on public health, epidemiology, and infectious disease prevention, with a particular focus on health policy evaluation and digital innovation in healthcare. She is a member of the Superior Health Council and the author of numerous international scientific publications.
Amalia Lupi is a researcher at the University of Padua. His research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence and advanced data analysis methods in the biomedical and diagnostic fields, with a particular focus on clinical decision support and the analysis of complex health data.
Antonio Albanese is a full professor of Civil Law at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Milan campus) and director of the Department of Legal Sciences. His scientific production focuses in particular on civil liability, contract law, and the relationship between law and technological innovation.
Chiara Gallese is a researcher at the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology and Society (TILT) at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. His research work falls within the field of digital technology law and focuses specifically on artificial intelligence law, personal data protection, and data ethics. His studies analyze the legal challenges posed by the development and use of AI systems, with a particular focus on data governance, algorithm accountability, and the regulatory profiles of emerging technologies.
